When I entered a transaction, the account balance did not change. How come?

Account balance will only change or adjust when the transaction is already posted. For instance, if a transaction has a posting date of March 15, 2008, the account balance will include this transaction in its calculation and will adjust only from March 15, 2008 and onwards.
